DARVEL FC APPOINT TONY MCINALLY AS MANAGER

Davel FC can today confirm the appointment of Tony McInally as the new First Team Manager.

McInally has agreed to take charge of the Vale’ and will get to work imminently with a plan for pre-season, and in preparation for the new 2023/24 season “Doon The Brae”.

Tony is one of the most respected and experienced managers at this level and has a very decorated CV with honours list running into double figures.

On the appointment, McInally said “It is an honour to become Darvel FC manager. Darvel is a club I have had great admiration for in the last 5 years for the achievements both on and off the park. My staff and I are eager to help get the Club where it needs to be, winning trophies. We want to build on the good work done and bring back a good feeling. We need the fans, we need unity and we need everyone aligned. That starts with us as staff and players”

“Our aim is to put out a team that works, that fights and wears the badge with pride. There is real quality in this squad, but we need to make them shine. We will utilise pre-season to change the shape of this Club going forward, to implement our style but ultimately in ways that we can win”

Tony will be supported by his backroom team which will be announced in due course.

Darvel FC President John Gall said, “The Board and I held some valuable discussions with Tony over the last few days, and he quickly convinced us that he had exactly the right attributes to be a great manager for Darvel, and bring future success and silverware. Not only does Tony have a real hunger for managing and a winning mentality, but a man who could inspire our fans.”
